Why not spend an extra week in Italy?
See The Other Side of Italy - the "Sud Tirol" or South Tyrol region - including Merano, Bolzano, Verona, Lake Garda and more on this fantastic one-week tour with your own private English speaking guide before or after your week of walking in the Dolomites. We really believe you will have a better and more relaxing and authentic time staying near the Dolomites than having all the stress and effort of traveling all the way to other more crowded tourist spots in Italy or in Europe.
South Tirol boasts almost 800 castles, fortified country houses, manors and ruins, a concentration unique in Europe. Today many of them accommodate museums, or have become castle hotels and restaurants. Labyrinthine streets, picturesque arcaded walkways, ancient walls and bustling shopping streets: each town has it's one atmosphere and charm. Pavement cafes in the piazza beckon with cappuccinos and apple strudel after shopping in unique shops while enjoying a village festival and live traditional bands.
Why not avoid the hot and crowded European cities and escape to quiet and quaint South Tyrol which enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate with over 300 days of sunshine and light breezes on most days. The landscape is typified by old wine-growing villages and sloping vineyards dotted with castles, palaces and ruins amid dark green valley floors.

Hello I`m Wenche, but my friends call me Chi Chi, and you can too…
I live right near the Dolomites on Lake Garda in northern Italy – one of the most beautiful and special places in all the world. Close by we have world-class wineries, restaurants and fun bars, amazing private villas you can rent, stunning scenery, castles and Roman ruins, friendly people, great shopping, and of course boating, windsurfing, swimming and exploring Lake Garda – one of Italy’s best kept secrets.
I was born in Norway but have had the pleasure of living and working in this beautiful area for ten years. I love showing people this amazing place – it’s what I live for and I am very passionate about it!
I organize all types of experiences for one person to very large groups and I tailor each trip to match the wants and needs and budget of my guests. I speak English, Italian and Norwegian and I work with people from all over the world. I work really hard to make sure my guests are completely happy with choosing to work with me.
I help people with sightseeing tours, weddings, wine tours, biking and mountain bike tours, golf trips, spa trips, ski trips, business incentive trips, short and long term rental properties, Christmas, birthday and holiday parties, and most recently walking tours in the spectacular Dolomites with world-renowned adventure travel guide Gary Scott.
Feel free to email me at: wenche@avventuraitalia.com with any questions, and please let me help you experience this amazing, unique and beautiful part of Italy - it would be my absolute pleasure.
