Customized Tours in the Dolomites

Right Path Adventures personalizes every trip. Therefore, we do not send out a fixed itinerary.

The Dolomites are a vast and confusing place with four spoken languages, nine different nature parks, over a dozen different valleys and hundreds of cable cars and trails. Many of our walks are not in the guidebooks and will get you away from the crowds and so we like to keep that our secret.

We have spent many years finding the BEST places to take you and we are not just going to broadcast that over the Internet for everyone to see. We have many great hikes up our sleeves even though we try to stay in the moment and are not “locked” into any itinerary.

We determine each tour’s schedule depending on the group’s desires, interests, and the walking/hiking amount mixed with the regional terrain. We discuss this with everyone in the group to find out what they want to achieve and then match them with the right trip. We then take weather into consideration. Hotel and mountain lodges are then booked along our route that will suit the type of trip for that week.

Each day starts with a hearty breakfast buffet and we usually are on the trail by 8:30 in the morning. Some days we will walk right from the hotel, other days take a cable car or ski lift to get up into the mountains quicker and easier (versus hiking up a steep hill for a few hours), and other days take a van to a trailhead.

With Gary as your guide you will walk for an hour or two before stopping for coffee and a break at one of the refugios along the way. Then after another hour or so we’ll stop for a fabulous lunch usually outside on a sunny terrace with a view. In the afternoon there is usually options to hike more, or less, that is up to you. But often we will hike for another hour or so then stop for a strudel and a glass of wine or beer at another refugio, then maybe walk for another hour or two back to our hotel.

We are usually back at the hotel by mid-afternoon which allows time for exploring the village, relaxing in the hotel spa, having a gelato or a glass of wine. For those that are keen for more walking, we can extend the day and cover some more ground – it is up to you!
