Nepal Food & Lodging

While in Kathmandu you will be staying at the famous Yak & Yeti, a historic and beautiful five-star hotel known for the famous mountain climbers and explorers who stayed there. It was built around a 100 year old restored palace. The hotel has modern amenities (for Nepal standards), fantastic staff, great food, an outdoor pool, a large peaceful garden with a running and walking track, tennis courts, a gym and a large spa area where you can get a great massage after your flight and the trek.

The Yak & Yeti is located right in the heart of Kathmandu and a short walk from the tourist district of Thamel where you can explore some of the most unique and inexpensive shops in the world. The breakfast in the Yak & Yeti is extensive and will prepare you well for the sightseeing tours we have arranged for you before and after your trek. A welcome dinner and celebratory farewell dinner are included in the cost of the trip.

During the trek you will stay in clean and comfortable lodges along the route, each with its own charm and uniqueness.  They are the best way to rest after a day exploring the Nepalese countrysides.

Menus in the mountain lodges includes a variety of Nepali and western-style foods including rice, noodles, vegetables, Nepali pizza, soups and stews,  eggs, porridge, cereal, peanut butter, jam, bread, nak cheese, fish, canned and fresh fruit, crackers, cookies, snacks, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc. You’ll be able to order what you want for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All are included in the trip price.
