Overview

Our typical day starts with an incredible breakfast buffet, and then we'll hit the trail at 9 AM.   We’ll hike from the hotel, or drive a short distance, or take a cable car, where we’ll get the best views and maximize our time on the trails. We'll stop mid-morning for a coffee and strudel break. We’ll continue hiking before stopping for a gourmet lunch on a sun-drenched terrace at a mountain lodge (Italian refugio), and we'll have options in the afternoon depending on how much more walking people want to do.  After the hike, you can relax in the hotel’s extensive pool and spa/wellness area and even get a massage, explore a nearby charming Tyrolean village, or take a stroll to a nearby lake. Dinners are at the hotel, with a different theme every evening, and our guests rave about the service and excellent cuisine.

After 300 walking tours, we know the best hikes that people love without feeling exhausted at the end of the day. You will have enjoyed a great hike and feel like you have accomplished something. We choose easy to moderate hikes at a relaxed pace, away from the crowds, and with minimal driving.  We cover an average of 8 miles a day, with an average elevation gain and loss of 1,000 feet, as we utilize the extensive cable car and chairlift system to maximize our guests' experience. We stay away from big drops, “scary” trails, and dangerous areas, and with Gary’s 42 years of international mountain guiding experience, he knows how to match the “right path” with the group.  There is always the option to do more walking at the end of each day and even cut some hikes short if desired, and lightweight hiking shoes or trail runners are all you'll need for these trails.
